Early morning on the river Etel

A short symphonic piece written in this rather secret place in the Morbihan region, where the light of dawn can be magical.

Namur

Namur is a theme composition based on the development of a motif (tonic, fifth and tenth) which was initially inspired by the Suite N°1 for cello solo by Bach.

Written for Quartet formation (Piano, Guitar, Double bass and Drums) together with a strings section.

Mechanic Romance

The original of this piece, for a show of theatre clowns, was composed on 2 motifs (one for each of the two principal characters) repeated in cycle, for instruments metal keys, such as music boxes, and synthesizers.

Then orchestrated and augmented
(development) for
a symphonic ensemble

Excessive Minimalism

Inspired by my son and as a form of dedication, created live and directly on the inverted harmonic pattern of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” (well known for the version by Jimmy Hendrix)

AmbiOne

Two versions for this theme. Originally written for the image (guitar nylon strings recorded on an arrangement a little bit “ethnic”). For the anecdote, the percussions are played on the guitar itself.

Then reorchestrated and augmented for Jazz quintet (Trumpet, Trombone, and Rhythm Section). Here without solos.

Hymn&Carols

A piece based on a classical inspiration for four-part choir, strings and French horns (excerpt). Christmas Carols are a great choral tradition among the British people. Very impressive to hear “non-musicians” singing perfectly together and in harmonized parts. For the anecdote “A Christmas Carol” is also a short story by C. Dickens.

Seuls Les Tilleuls Mentent (CD) Only the lime trees lie

Seuls les Tilleuls Mentent

Bleu Tactile

Magic Mushrooms
This piece, which is a collective composition, was recorded at the end of the session. The guitar and bass were detuned to produce these percussion sounds. Based on a melodic and rhythmic pattern repeated in a non stop loop. (I do not know what we had smoked that day …)

Autour de La

L’Enfer chez Molette

L’Année du Dragon
In this track Albin uses a melodica, an instrument whose sound is halfway between a bandoneon and a harmonica

Les Oiseaux sont des Cons (composition of Hughes Hervé)

Bambi (composition of Albin de la Simone)

Les Petits Canards dans le Lavabo
Well, that one we made it short!
